I love having an organized routine to start my day. Having some type of structure right when you wake up helps you have a better start of your day. You make some time for yourself, and it’s so much more efficient. I also love to read about other bloggers’ morning routines. I thought that I might do the same and share mine.
I love waking up early and take advantage of the morning. I am more of a morning person than a night one so, waking up early works best for me. I wake up at 5:30 am every single day. As soon as I wake up, I brush my teeth. When you’re sleeping, your body naturally releases toxins in your sleep through your mouth. It is essential to brush your teeth to get rid of all those leftover toxins.
I have recently started adding meditation into my morning. Taking 10 to15 minutes to mediate is an amazing way to give yourself time to set your intentions and let go of what you don’t need in your life. It’s an amazing way to start and even add some more energy into your day.
Right after, I will start my workout. I have recently gotten into doing Pilates and yoga every morning. I used to go to the gym every single morning but I decided to change it up to try something new and for me. Pilates and yoga have been so much better on my body and I have been seeing some amazing results. It’s a more peaceful way to start your day. I workout for 45 to 60 minutes and after I am done I will stretch for 10-15 minutes. When I’m stretching, I will listen to some of my favorite music or a podcast. Anything that adds some value into my day or boosts my mood!
Right after my workout, I will take a shower, wash my face, and go into a very basic skincare routine. Usually, I will use a vitamin c product, a moisturizer, some type of oil, and a mineral-based sunscreen. If I am not planning to go out that day or, I feel like my skin needs a bit more attention, then I will take some time to do a facemask.
Once my skin set and glowing, I will go have breakfast to start my day. Sometimes my day consists of sitting down and getting some work done. On other days, it will consist of running errands all day. The whole morning consists of start off the day right with doing things that bring me some type of benefit and value. For me, these first few hours of the day are when I take time for myself. I take a bit of time to forget about the emails I need to read and the work I need to get done. Its all about doing something for yourself you know?
I feel like DIY home facemasks are often so underrated. They are natural and can be extremely effective. I have three go-to facemasks that I like to make at home. They’re easy, effective, and perfect for some self-pampering time.
Turmeric, Cinnamon, and Honey Facemask:
Turmeric is great for reducing acne, scars, and helps fight inflammation. Cinnamon has anti-fungal, antioxidant, and antibacterial properties. Finally, honey is a natural antibacterial, and antioxidant. With these properties, honey can fight acne and slow down aging. Mixing all three makes an amazing mask to help fight all types of acne while moisturizing your skin leaving you with a glowy, youthful look. I like to use organic products if possible and it’s so easy to make!
Recipe: ½ a Teaspoon of Turmeric, ½ a teaspoon of cinnamon, and 1 1/2 a Tablespoon of Honey. Mix and leave on for at least 10 minutes. Then wash off and follow with your favorite moisturizer.
Aztec Clay Mask with Apple cider Vinegar:
This facemask is one of the biggest selling skincare products on Amazon, and the hype is 100% true. It’s 100% natural and affordable! Clay is excellent for drawing out toxins from the skin. You can use water, but I like to use organic apple cider vinegar for its antibacterial and antifungal properties.
Recipe: Mix equal parts of clay and apple cider vinegar. Leave on for 15 minutes and wash it off with warm waters. Follow with your favorite moisturizer!
Egg White with Lemon:
This one is a perfect anti-aging mask and for getting rid of annoying blackheads. Egg whites are great for a DIY peel-off mask. They also help tighten up your skin and help absorb excess oil. The vitamin C in lemon helps brighten your skin while also boosting collagen production. With both egg whites and lemon fighting to reduce oil, it can help prevent blackheads and pull them off like blackhead strips.
Recipe: Mix one teaspoon of freshly squeezed lemon juice and one egg white. Mix both and apply the mixture on your skin. Leave it on your skin until it fully dries and peel it off your skin. Wash off any leftover mixture and follow with your favorite moisturizer.
If you decide to try these out, make sure that you start with a freshly cleaned face. They’re amazing and I love how accessible the ingredients are. Although buying pre-made masks are easier, these are amazing affordable DIY masks you can do at home whenever. I would recommend doing these at least 2-3 times a week to get results fast. If you guys try any out let me know! Also, let me know your favorite DIY facemasks that I need to try out!!
So I am very much about living a healthy life. Eat healthy, workout, meditate and you know, really take care of your self. Taking care of yourself also means to treat yourself to stay sane, you know? Listen I’m not going to live my life full of restrictions and avoid eating some ice cream to stay healthy. That being said recently I’ve been obsessed with waffles but from this specific mix.
A
little bit of back-story; I think that Disney World has the best waffles ever.
Like you have to try them, they’re so good and don’t taste like an ice cream
cone like so many waffles do. They’re crispy on the outside and soft on the
inside, the PERFECT waffle. So being obsessed with it, I would always buy some
when in Disney. Recently my sister found the exact mix that they used and I was
THRILLED to find out that they sold it at World Market for only $8.00.
Obviously I went out and bought some and they are SO FREAKING GOOD, I had to
share.
So getting into specifics, the brand is Carbon’s Golden Malted Pancake & Waffle Flour. So have only been making the waffles and its so good. The recipe is simple too, so no way you can mess it up. The ingredients you need are one egg, 2 tbsp. of butter, water and a cup of the mix. I am telling you, these are AMAZING. Sometimes I just make them when I’m craving something. Sometimes I have them plain because it does have a slight sweetness in it. When I want something extra I love adding some Manuka honey on top. Manuka honey is great for anti-inflammatory, helps your digestive system and an antioxidant so it’s great health-wise. I find that maple syrup is a bit too sweet for me but if I do use it I always go for an organic one.
Like I was saying before, these come out crispy on the outside and so soft in the inside, the perfect waffle. Nothing is worse than getting a waffle that’s dry, right?? Basically, you need to order these now because you’re missing out!! Happy breakfast loves!

Some days I love to wear false lashes. They give you that extra touch and everyone just looks so good with them.
I started using false lashes often when I was a freshman in high school. I started using them because my right eyelashes were literally ripped out during cheerleading practice lol. Basically what happened was that I was basing and the flyer somehow kicked eye. The worst part was that my eyelashes got STUCK on her shoe and most of them ripped off. It happened so fast that I didn’t even notice at first. So since one of my eyes barely had any eyelashes I had to start using false lashes for when I would put makeup one. I didn’t wear makeup to school so it was only when I had to do my makeup for football games and going out.
Since then, obviously my lashes grew back but I still love using false lashes. I don’t wear them too often since I’ve been really into a natural makeup look. Let’s be honest half of the time it’s because I’m too lazy to put them on.
Throughout the years I have tried a few but, I have a current favorite; the Kiss Look Natural Lash in Shy. I’m really specific when it comes to lashes and these are perfect. I love the placement of each individual lash and the slight angle they having. It’s not too much of an angle where it looks to crazy but they have a bit of a fan effect.
They blend in with the lashes very well allowing them to look natural and often like you are not wearing false lashes. These lashes aren’t too long where it’s very obvious but, they do give you that extra length and fullness.
The fullness of the lashes is so important for me too. I don’t love it when it looks too full and it’s just a dark shade of black. Like I mentioned, I want something that blends in with my natural lashes and not be too obvious that they’re fake. The Kiss lashes work amazing for that look I’m going for.
These feel very light on your lashes. That’s important because you want the lashes to open your eyes, not weigh them down and make them look closed.
These lashes are easy to reuse and super affordable. I like to buy the pack of 5 pairs of lashes. The pack of 5 is less than $9.00 at Walmart or 11.99 if you want to order them online through Ulta. If you know how to take care of your false lashes, you can reuse them and they will last for such a long time. I am telling you guys, these babies are amazing and will look good on everyone.
Hello loves, how has your week been so far? Mine has been great besides a whole cabinet from my bathroom falling and breaking my jade roller. It broke my heart a bit but luckily they’re easy to find. My other stuff was fine, but I took this opportunity to reorganize stuff. Basically, I want to make sure that good energy is following in, aka Feng Shui.
I have grown up knowing about Feng Shui. It’s something that my mom loved learning and implicating it into our lives for as long as I can remember. If you don’t know what Feng Shui is, it’s a type of pseudoscience that originates from China. It harmonizes energy forces with your surroundings. By arranging things around you, you make it possible to bring you the best energy. Recently I started to personally implement it into my life because I am a huge believer in this kind of stuff. With a few simple changes, my bedroom was Feng Shui approved!! Feng Shui is very easy to add to your life, why not surround yourself with good energy?
When you look into Feng Shui there are a lot of mini details that can seem overwhelming. I wanted to write a post to outline the very basics and show how simple it is. Starting by rearranging things in your room is such a great way to start.
The first thing to take notice of is the position of your bed in your room. First thing is that your bed should be facing your door but not directly in line with it. Then make sure that the bed’s headboard is against a solid wall. Besides your headboard, you want to make sure no other part of your bed is touching any of the walls. Keep in mind that the wall that your headboard is against should not be one that’s connected to your bathroom. It’s not the best for when it comes to positive energy flow. If it’s not possible, that’s okay, but try to stick with the other things I mentioned.
Once your bed is set, make sure to avoid having a mess under it. I prefer to not have anything under there because it’s just easier to avoid clutter. The theory is that the things under your bed may create blocks in your life. When there isn’t anything under your bed, you are encouraging a more free flow of energy around you when you sleep.
Toning down the electronics in your room is major for Feng Shui. Even though it’s quite popular to have a TV in your room, Feng Shui recommends not too. The negative energies that technology gives off can affect you and your sleep. If you were up for it I would start by moving the TV out of your bedroom. It’s an easy change to make that makes a difference. For your phone, try to make a habit of it being away from you and on the ground when you sleep. Besides the effect it gives your Feng Shui, its just not good for your health. That means no more leaving your phone next to you while you sleep or under your pillow!! The same thing goes with tablets or computers. Try to keep them away and you will be good.
In general, having a clean and organized room is one of the best things you can do for good Feng Shui. When you have a messy room it is encouraging stuck energy. Without a clear and good flow of energy, it will be more difficult to attract the thing you want.
If you want to get more personal in your Feng Shui, I would recommend finding your Kua Number. This number is based on your gender and your birthday. Knowing your Kua number allows you to use Feng Shui to attract wealth, love, health, and happiness in a more specific way. I used this website that offers a free personal Kua Calculator. Using it gives you a really specific outline of how to apply proper Feng Shui. It even gives you colors you should be adding into your room to harmonize with you and good energy. I am obsessed, you guys need to try it out!
Arranging your room to have good Feng Shui is pretty simple and a great way to encourage good energy into your life. Here’s to living a bright happy life.
Hello loves. I’m back to normal life at home after my short vacay to the happiest place on earth. If you follow me on Instagram @kamilacoellar then you would probably saw all of the photos I’ve been posting on my story! It was a short visit for Mickey’s The Very Merry Christmas Party and The Food and Wine Festival.
Every time I go to Disney I always bring my white drawstring backpack that I got from Forever 21 five years ago. It has been my travel go-to backpack and I’m surprised that it hasn’t broken yet. Anyways, I have been going to Disney three times a year for the past 14 years. Its crazy that it has been that long but I never get tired of it. I feel like I get more excited about it now than the years past. Since I have been going for so long, there are a few things that I’ve learned that are a MUST to bring when visiting during the winter season.
Let’s start with my mini must-haves. Lip balm is a must for me; soft, plump and moisturizer lips are a must always. I also love to bring around tiny Vaseline with me. I always need to have some on me, so it’s a must for Disney. I always bring with me a tiny mirror. It’s so useful and necessary.
Obviously, I have to bring my wallet to spend a crazy amount on anything Disney right? To save space, I use my mini wallet that I got from Marc Jacob. It fits the necessary and has a little pocket for change, which is great! I love mine because it goes really well with anything and matches my black clothing obsession side.
I always bring two chargers with me, my phone and camera charger. Finding a charging outlet is pretty hard so bringing my portable charger is also a must. When I’m in Disney I take an insane amount of pictures and my battery gets used up quickly. I bought this one from amazon and it works so well. I use it for charging my phone and camera. This protable charger saves me and I never have to deal with a dead battery.
I do love taking iPhone pictures but I always have to bring my Sony Camera. I love this one for traveling because the quality is great and it’s smaller than other high-quality cameras. It has a bunch of different settings to help you get the best photo possible. Like I mentioned before I take a lot of photos so its essential to bring some extra memory cards. I always bring one extra and it tends enough.
Snacks, it’s a must because as much as I love some Disney junk food my body always craves something healthy. I love to bring some baby carrots in my bag. It’s a fresh and sweet snack, perfect for waiting in long lines. I also always bring a simple sandwich with me if I’m a bit hungrier, I don’t know why but the sandwiches are always so satisfying lol. Then I like to buy the Emmy Organic Lemon Ginger cookies. These are AMAZING, but if lemon ginger flavor were not your thing I would recommend the cocoa ones. The cocoa cookies taste like a brownie but with some coconut in it. They’re amazing and the ingredients are simple, organic and non-GMO. They’re vegan gluten-free and addictive. Finally, I always bring some water. I never buy water at the park because it tends to be over prices, so I always bring a reusable water bottle to fill up throughout the day!
For all my Disney trips, these tend to be my basics that I bring in my backpack and cannot leave without. Plus I can NEVER go to the park without one of my Minnie ears and my magic band. As soon as I got my first Minnie ears I was hooked and now I have an addiction, but it’s fine because they are so cute. If you guys want to see all my pictures from this trip make sure you’re following me on Instagram @KamilaCoellar and checkout my saved stories. It’s basically like you’re there with me!!
So if it isn’t obvious by now, I am obsessed with anything related to health and wellness. Basically, if there is something that can make you feel better in any way, I want to know what it is and where I can get it. I grew up with my mom always using incense in my house and she always told me how good it is for you. Recently I have started to use incense sticks again and remembered why I used to love them so much as a kid.
If you didn’t now, incense has been around for a long time and often used for religious and spiritual reasons. They’re known to purify the air and your soul. The smoke that comes from burning incense has three major properties that purify the air. These three properties are that it’s antibacterial, fungicidal, and insecticidal. Having a purer form of air around you increase positive energy and moves negative energy away from you. It’s also known to help with depression, anxiety, stress, increases focus, motivation, and creativity.
There is a lot of good that you can get from burning incense but, there are also some dangers that you need to be aware of. The incense smoke can harm you, especially your lungs. That’s why it’s important to also know howto avoid harm by taking a few simple steps. When I use incense I always makesure the windows are open, allowing smoke to go outside. It’s a simple way to lower the amount of smoke you’re exposed to. I also always have a salt lamp nearby. Salt lamps are AMAZING for purifying the air so it will help you avoid any toxic particles. So once yougot everything open and your salt lamp is ready I always make sure I’m not too close to the incense when it is being burned. They tend not to burn for too long either so there is not too much smoke coming from the incense. I would also recommend getting good quality incense from India. They tend to be less toxic and some great smells. I like to light some incense maybe two times a week to get some of the great benefits.
So now for the fun part okay. Let’s talk a bit about what incense are my favorites and why!
Cinnamon
Perfectfor the holiday season and a scent most will love. It’s known to attract wealth into your life and gives you a warm and comfy feeling. A great one to relaxyour mind and soul. And like I said, perfect for the holiday season so it’s amust this time of year.
Sandalwood
Such a major one in India for its powerful healing properties. It helps eliminate negative thinking and energies while manifesting changed and opportunities fora better happier life. I just love that whole idea and it gives you a sense of calmness.
Vanilla
Witha sweet scent like cinnamon, vanilla is supposed to bring bright happy energy into your life. The smell is great for any day and such a classic scent. I love this one for when people come visit.
NagChampa
Thisone is great for getting in a meditative state. It’s supposed to relax yourmind and increases our spiritual awareness. I love that and it is such a great thing to add to your yoga or meditation routine.
Now obviously once you got your incense, you need to have a little stand for it.There are so many cute ones that they can easily fit in with your aesthetic. I have linked a few of my favorites!
I love how incense sticks smell and you get so many great things from them. They look chic in your room and they are an affordable way to boost your mental health. Let me know if you guys have tried any and what your favorites are!
Hello loves, how was your weekend? Mine was pretty uneventful, filled with work and self-care. Currently, I have an agave mask on which, I love for several reasons that I will talk about soon on another post. I wanted to take a quick moment to talk about something I have been really into recently. If you follow me on Instagram you might have seen on my story a quick video of my golden turmeric latte. Ugh, it Is so YUM and vegan! Super simple, delicious and so good for you because of the amazingness of turmeric. Turmeric is my go-to spice for getting that extra health kick. I will add it to everything and anything. The benefits are amazing and I love how easy it is to add to your day.
Turmeric is something basically everyone has heard about and it’s amazing. There are turmeric lattes, desserts, dressings, and more. People are obsessed and putting some turmeric in basically anything. I am so here for it too!!
One of the most known benefits is its ability to fight inflammation. Turmeric has a substance called Curcumin that helps reduce inflammation in the body. That’s why taking a turmeric supplement or adding turmeric into your food is often recommended for bloating. It’s even helpful for swelling and pain because of its antioxidant. Making a simple paste using turmeric and honey is a great face mask for puffiness and acne. The same mask can be used for swelling and pain on your hands, legs, and more.
Since turmeric is a great anti-inflammatory, it also promotes a healthier digestive system. By reducing inflammation and stress in your digestive system, you can break down food more efficiently. The amount of vitamins, minerals, and fiber that turmeric has can help with muscle movement of your digestive system. Having a stronger and healthier digestive system will also improve your body’s natural process of absorbing nutrients. When your digestive system is working at its most optimal state, your body will look and feel healthier. Adding turmeric into your daily routine you can help prevent acne, weight gain, and more. When it comes to weight gain, turmeric can increase the bile production in your stomach. Bile is a type of liquid that your stomach produces that helps burn fat and increase your metabolism.
The benefits of turmeric go on like breaking down sugar, promoting a healthier and longer life, helps fight cancer and more. It’s the real deal and I try to add it to every meal. Like everything else, the quality of the product is such an important part when shopping. Unfortunately, there are a lot of FAKE turmeric products that you want to watch out for. Many brands will add fillers into turmeric like dust, chalk powder, starch, chemical dyes, and more. It’s kind of insane but true so, you want to take a second look into what you’re buying.
First off, you want to check on the amount of turmeric extract of curcuminoids is in the product. Turmeric without curcumin just doesn’t work as well. Without curcumin, you are missing out on all the benefits. Try to aim for 200 milligrams of Curcumin in every teaspoon of turmeric. This way you will have higher amounts of active ingredients in each serving. These active ingredients are the amazing properties I mentioned before that turmeric has like being anti-inflammatory, and an antioxidant.
When you are reading the ingredients label, keep in mind the amount of turmeric root the product has is not as important. A higher amount of turmeric root usually means a lower level of curcumin in each serving. Another thing to look out for is for the product to be label with BioPerine. This will help with the absorption of turmeric and if your body isn’t fully absorbing the nutrients then, you will be missing out on all the benefits. Finally like always, try to aim for organic and non-GMO. Products that are organic and non-GMO help you avoid unnecessary toxic chemicals and consuming a healthier product.
Okay so that was a lot of information and slightly complicated but it is okay I got you!! To make your life a bit easier I did all the research for you and found a great option for you. This Micro Ingredients Curcumin Powder that has Turmeric Extract and Natural turmeric powder is organic, pure and vegan. It contains 95% standardized Curcumin which is exactly what we want!! It’s a perfect option that you can order straight to your house. You can click the link if you want to check it out!
When I cook, I like to always add a bit of turmeric. It’s important to always add FRESH ground black pepper with turmeric. The black fresh ground pepper has this natural oil in it that helps your body absorb the Curcumin up to 2000% more. It’s such a crazy amount for something so simple. I like to add it into my gilled or steam veggies, my protein of choice and even sometimes a bit into my breakfast oatmeal. I will add about half a teaspoon into my oatmeal with a bit of ground pepper that way the bitterness isn’t too overpowering. For my other foods, I’ll add a full teaspoon with ground pepper.
It is so easy to add some high-quality turmeric to your meals. Even though quality products may cost a bit more, you will know that what you’re getting is healthy and will work. I do not want you to buy a low-quality product that does nothing and ends up being a waste of money. You have to try adding some into your life and get those benefits babe.
Happy Monday loves!! It is another start of the week, which means we have a new week to get things done!! I’m someone who can get distracted easily which isn’t great when it comes to work. See not everything related to my business is always the most exciting thing to do which leads me to go on my phone. I’ll scroll through social media and take up way too much time doing something that gives me no benefit at all. It’s the worst and such a waste of time. For your girl to get it together, I will do a few things to help myself stay on track.
First off, I make sure I do the IVY Lee Method. I wrote a post about already that you can read it by clicking here. How it works is you list all of the things you need to get done and you put it in order of importance. Having this list keeps me focus and it’s a great way to make sure I remember what I to do next. Also, it feels great when you check something off the list. This is such a must for me because it works so well.
Music, it’s a big thing for me but, it needs to be specific. My all-time favorite type of music to listen to when I’m working is French music, like the kind you hear in French restaurants. Other than the fact that it makes me feel like I’m back in Paris, I can focus so much better when I’m listening to this relaxing kind of music compared to any other kind. There is this playlist on Spotify called French Restaurant and it’s the perfect vibe I’m going for. I put it loud enough where I can’t hear anything around me, which is pretty helpful to avoid getting distracted.
Finally, I love to do this thing called time batching. So when I want to get something done, I’ll set a certain amount of time assigned for one task. Usually I’ll set a timer for 30 minutes to 3 hours. The amount of time depends on what I’m doing. The thing is that during that time I do not allow myself to do anything else. I stay focused on the thing I’m doing and I usually finish whatever I’m working on before the time ends or end up doing more than I planned. I just start to get really into what ever I may be doing that I get things done quicker. This is such a perfect method for when it comes to writing multiple blog posts or getting some accounting work done for my logistic company.
Those three things are my trifecta for getting things done.
I feel like setting some type of structure in preparation for your work makes
everything more efficient. Being able to get organized saves you time,
something that’s so valuable. Everything I mentioned is so simple but trust me
guys it works.
