Why I Love Using Coffee Grounds For My Skincare Routine

I love finding a new way to use natural ingredients in my beauty routine, for some reason it gets me excited. Finding alternatives to products with harsh chemicals and parables is just so much better for you. The best part is that usually there are simple alternatives, no need to be a DIY expert to get the results you want. That’s why I love using coffee grounds as a body scrub. Coffee grounds are simple and so effective that I prefer using it rather than other like sugar or salt.

First off, using coffee grounds as a scrub is easy. If you want you can use it plain or you can add something extra. Using something like coconut oil or olive oil is a great option for adding an extra moisturizing property. I do have to admit that it can get a bit messy so, I would recommend doing it in the shower. It’s so much easier this way.

Using a coffee scrub can also give you some amazing health benefits. It’s gentle on your skin, which means that it’s a great option for your exfoliation routine. It’s effective for removing all of the dead cells of your skin leaving your smooth. Exfoliation helps you achieve a more even skin texture so it’s great to get rid of those little annoying random bumps.

The caffeine from the coffee grounds is also a great way to decrease inflammation by promoting blood flow. That means it’s a great way to do some lymphatic draining at home. Anything that helps with lymphatic draining is something I add to my self-care routine. When you incorporate lymphatic draining into your self-care routine you are helping your body get rid of the toxins your body holds. Plus, coffee is a great antioxidant for your skin.

Caffeine is an effective way to reduce the appearance of cellulite.  How it works is that when you use the coffee, the caffeine helps stimulates dilation from the cellulite. With the caffeine increasing circulation, it will make the skin a little bit more plumped making cellulite a bit less obvious. Because the results last temporarily using it weekly can help you achieve longer results.  Obviously to completely get rid of cellulite working out and having a healthy diet will be the most effective but this is a great addition to the process.

Let’s talk about stretch marks because this is also a great option for that. The exfoliation will help take off the dead skin cells from your body to help your stretch marks fade but there is also a bit more to it. Caffeine is something that helps improve collagen production. Collagen is one of the most important things for keeping your skin looking young and healthier. Collagen will help lighten your skin while also tightening it. With both the lightning and tightening process in effect, it will help fade your stretch marks.

Listen, I want to make it clear that stretch marks and cellulite is nothing you need to be working on getting rid of. I love mine; they’re like my own personal tiger stripes. Like how cute is that right? Same thing for cellulite, its apart of your beauty, not a fault. Just like everything else when it comes to self-care, coffee ground is a great thing to add for some extra benefits. The main goal is to do something for yourself because you deserve it. It’s not about trying to look better to fit into society’s beauty standards. It is about doing something for yourself because you love yourself. Nothing looks better than confidence babe.

All the love,
